There are 3 variants of the Impreza available in Australia.
Engine options include 2L multi-point injection (92kW/184Nm) and 2L turbo multi-point injection (160kW/292Nm). Available with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions. All variants feature four-wheel drive.
The new 2001 Impreza is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
