2026 Hyundai Santa Fe drops troublesome transmission
A model-year update for the Hyundai Santa Fe large SUV will bring a switch back to a conventional automatic transmission, in the US at least.

2025 Hyundai Santa Fe
The new Hyundai Santa Fe is a large SUV offered in a 5D SUV body style. Available in Australia from $53,000 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $77,000 for the Calligraphy.
There are 3 variants of the Santa Fe available in Australia and this generation went on sale in November of 2024.
Engine options include 2.5L turbo (206kW/422Nm), 1.6L turbo petrol direct injection (172kW/367Nm) and 1.6L turbo (172kW/367Nm). Available with 8-speed automatic or 6-speed automatic transmissions. Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new 2025 Santa Fe is offered with a 5 year, unlimited km warranty.
