Ford Bronco Comparison

The Ford Bronco Basecamp is due to join Australian showrooms in the second half of 2027, giving Ford a new adventure-focused SUV with a very different flavour to the Ranger ute and Everest wagon. For Australia, the Bronco Basecamp is confirmed with an extended-range electric setup, using a petrol engine as a generator and two electric motors to drive the wheels. A full battery-electric version offered overseas is not planned for local launch. The result is aimed at drivers drawn to Bronco’s rugged image and family-friendly SUV format, while also wanting electric-drive response and extra reassurance for longer regional trips where charging access can vary. Pricing, grades and detailed equipment for the Australian range are still to be confirmed closer to release.
