Chinese luxury auto brand Zeekr has recorded its best sales month ever in Australia, cracking 2000 monthly deliveries for the first time in July, while its popular 7X mid-size SUV nearly entered the list of top-10 nameplates last month.
Launched here in late 2024, the domestic premium brand of the Geely Auto Group – which also is the parent of Volvo and Polestar, as well as Lotus – has effectively doubled its monthly sales volume in Australia over the past three months, and in July posted whopping year-on-year sales growth of 2837.5 per cent with 2115 registrations Down Under.
Leading the charge (pun intended) was the 7X electric SUV, which notched up 1892 registrations in July, placing it 11th in the overall nameplate standings, less than 150 units behind its Group cousin, the Geely EX5 (2034), which finished 10th.
Zeekr is now one of Australia's most popular car brands, with its July result placing it 17th out of about 75 brands for the month – ahead of big names like Volkswagen, Nissan, BMW, Honda and Lexus.

"Strong response" to the updated Zeekr X compact electric SUV also translated to a healthy first month of deliveries, with 211 sales recorded last month – 229.7 per cent up on its July 2025 result.
Less impressive was the market performance of the Zeekr 009 electric people mover, which found only 12 new homes last month but still posted growth of 50 per cent compared to July 2025.
"To move from our first 1000-sales month to more than 2000 sales just three months later demonstrates the growing confidence Australian customers have in the Zeekr brand and the strong response to the MY26 X," said Zeekr Australia managing director Frank Li in a statement.
"This result reflects the momentum we're building across Australia as more customers discover that they don't have to compromise on technology, design, performance, comfort or value. Australians increasingly expect all of these qualities in one vehicle, and July's record result reinforces the growing appeal of Zeekr's premium electric vehicle offering."

The Chinese premium brand now has 18 retail locations across Australia, following the recent addition of its new Gold Coast outlet, with further network expansion planned throughout the rest of this year.
To further boost its sales footprint, Zeekr will double its Australian model lineup in the coming 12 months with several hotly anticipated models, including the 7GT electric wagon and the 8X and 9X extended-range hybrid luxury SUVs.
