Genesis is a relatively new luxury rival to Lexus, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz.
It’s actually a part of the Hyundai Motor Group, and started life as the name of a large Hyundai luxury sedan. It’s since been spun off into its own brand.
Currently, the range includes the G70 and G80 sedans, and the GV60, GV70, and GV80 SUVs.
Genesis is gearing up to launch a new high-performance sub-brand called Magma, and has also foreshadowed the debut of an even more luxurious SUV flagship, expected to be called the GV90.
In Australia, Genesis debuted in 2019. In 2023, it sold a total of 1916 cars locally.
