Do you have too many cars, a penchant for speed, and a giant wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket? Well, have we got the ultimate solution for you.

Located around two hours east of Los Angeles is what very well may be the ultimate bachelor pad, and we’re not going to lie… we’d much rather be there than rainy Brisbane right now.

Welcome to the otherwise quiet town of Thermal, California, where not much happens outside the annual Coachella music festival.

That is until developers dropped a staggering AU$247m (US$175m) creating the 424-acre Thermal Club, a true petrol head’s dream playground.

“People that love cars have no place to take them and no convenient place to show other car enthusiasts their collection,” said Tim Rogers, who founded Thermal Club, modelling it on the nearby golf resorts in Palm Springs.

“Not everyone plays golf, but it’s the same premise. It’s a community.”

It’s within the grounds of Thermal Club that a listing for 86874 Newton Way has come on the market, but it doesn’t come cheap at AUD $10.6m (US$7.5m).

For that, you get only one bedroom and one bathroom – but who really has time for sleeping when you live on a racetrack, right?

This is where the garage comes in. Behind those twin roller doors, the entire bottom floor of 335sqm can house up to 30 cars. That is if you didn’t have to sell all your toys to buy the joint.

The expenses don’t stop there though. Simply fronting up eight figures for the property won’t quite get you in the door.

You still need to buy a membership to the Country Club Villa which will set you back an additional AU$125,000 (US$85,000) upfront, plus AU$1700 per month in membership fees.

There are 276 lots within the luxury club grounds.

The facility has a hotel for your guests (which will come in handy since you only get one bedroom), two restaurants, a service station, car wash, tuning shop, and even a car dealership if you need to fill up that garage.

To support your significant other, the club also has tennis and pickleball courts, a pair of swimming pools, a spa, a fitness centre, and a children’s recreation area.

It might be priced well out of reach for the average car enthusiast, but at least we can dream while flicking through pictures from the real estate listing.
