Ram Trucks Australia is recalling its 1500 pickup truck due to an issue that may lead to the leaking of brake fluid.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the right-hand front wheel speed sensor wiring routing may have been installed incorrectly during assembly,” the company says in its recall notice.

“As a result, the brake fluid hose or the wheel speed sensor wiring may become damaged. If this occurs, brake fluid may leak and cause a reduction in braking performance.

“A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact your nearest authorised Ram dealer to have the right front wheel speed sensor wiring routing inspected and repaired, free of charge.

If you have any further questions, you can contact Ram Trucks customer assistance on 1300 681 792.
