Subaru Australia is recalling 28 examples of the Forester, Outback, and Crosstrek to fix an issue that may cause the “outer race” of the front driveshaft to crack.
This recall affects MY23 Forester, MY23 Outback, and MY24 Crosstrek vehicles.
“The front drive shaft may not meet manufacturing specifications and the outer race of the front driveshaft may crack,” said the company in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, the vehicle will stop operating while in motion.”

If you own an affected vehicle you should schedule in for a free rectification at any authorised Subaru service centre in Australia.
If you have further questions you can contact Subaru Australia on 1800 226 643.
