Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled the 2021 S-Class to fix a problem with a pump in its fuel tank.

“A nozzle within the suction jet pump in the fuel tank may become detached. This could result in a sudden loss of power,” Mercedes-Benz says in its recall notice.

“A sudden loss of power while driving increases the risk of an accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.”

    • A total of 56 vehicles are included in the recall notice
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Mercedes-Benz Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
