Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 291 examples of its GLA small SUV, due to a fault that could cause its rear seats to move more than intended.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the stop rivets on the adjustment rails of the rear seats may have not been installed. As a result, the seats could move beyond the defined end position during manual adjustment,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.
“In the event of an accident or hard braking if the rear seats move beyond their defined end position it could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”
