LDV D90 now one of Australia’s cheapest seven-seat SUVs

The LDV D90 is now Australia’s third-cheapest seven-seat SUV – at least temporarily – following a price reduction to $39,990 drive-away for the entry-level D90 Mode version of the large off-roader until June 30, 2026.

The saving of $3657 over the previous $43,647 drive-away price sees the base D90 draw level with the mid-range Mahindra XUV700 AX7L (also priced at $39,990 drive-away). It doesn’t match the entry-level AX7 (now $35,990 drive-away in runout), and is also $1000 above the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max Urban at $38,990 drive-away, but the D90 maintains its position as the most affordable seven-seat off-road SUV in Australian showrooms.

It also undercuts seven-seat ‘soft-roaders’ including the Nissan X-Trail ST at $41,140 before on-road costs, the Mitsubishi Outlander ES at $42,540 before on-road costs, and the MG QS Excite at $46,990 drive-away.

LDV has introduced the lower pricing for the entry-level D90 Mode for both private buyers and Australian Business Number (ABN) holders.

In addition to seven seats, the D90 comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster across the range, and a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 184kW of power and 410Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

All current D90s have a 3000kg braked towing capacity, with combined fuel consumption for the D90 Mode being 9.1L/100km, although its previous five-star Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) rating has now expired.

Prices are unchanged for the rest of the D90 lineup, which is backed by a seven-year, 200,000km warranty and five years of unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance.

The mid-spec D90 Executive 2WD (two-wheel drive) remains priced at $45,490 drive-away for ABN holders and $47,884 drive-away for private buyers.

The flagship D90 Executive 4WD (four-wheel drive) is priced at $48,990 drive-away for ABN holders and $51,568 drive-away for private customers.

Across the range, metallic paint costs an extra $500, while a two-tone colour scheme is available for an additional $2000.

The D90 was LDV’s second-best seller in Australia in 2025 behind the T60 dual-cab ute – its answer to the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux – with 3376 units sold, up 43.2 per cent year-on-year and representing the strongest growth in LDV’s lineup behind only the LDV Deliver 7/eDeliver 7 van.
