Honda Australia has issued a recall for 16,001 vehicles across the current-generation Civic, CR-V, Civic Type R and ZR-V model lines over concerns of a power steering fault.
“The worm wheel grease may be displaced over time. If this occurs, the Electronic Power Steering system (EPS) may not operate as intended,” the company says in its recall notice.
“This may result in abnormal steering noise and greater steering effort.
“A greater steering effort could increase the risk of an accident-causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
