Genesis Australia has recalled 166 examples of its twin-turbocharged V6 G70 sedan due to a fault which could lead to an oil leak and subsequent vehicle fire.
“The left-hand turbocharger oil feed pipe and hose assembly may deteriorate due to heat from the exhaust manifold,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, oil could leak into the engine bay and accumulate in the presence of an ignition source resulting in a vehicle fire.
“A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and/or bystanders.”

This fault also impacts the Kia Stinger, which was recalled earlier this week
If you own an affected Genesis G70, you’re advised to immediately contact your preferred Genesis dealership to schedule an appointment to have the oil feed pipe replaced, free of charge.
You can also contact Genesis Australia on 1800 908 070 for more information.
