Ferrari Australia is recalling 69 examples of its 2021-2023 296 GTB and GTS due to an issue with a hose which could lead to a fire.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the hose connecting fuel tank may become damaged and corroded due to contact against the high voltage battery cover,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, fuel may leak in the presence of an external ignition source resulting in a vehicle fire.
“A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders and/or damage to property.”
If you own an affected vehicle, Ferrari advises you to to immediately stop using it.

Ferrari Australia is contacting owners of affected vehicles in writing.
If you are one of these owners, you will need to contact a authorised Ferrari dealership or Ferrari Australia to arrange a replacement fuel tank connect pipe to be installed, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Ferrari Australasia on 1800 234 392.
