Cupra Australia is celebrating one year Down Under with three years of complimentary servicing and one per cent finance deals on 2023 Leon, Ateca and Formentor models.

The brand previously offered three years’ complimentary servicing from launch, but removed the offer in March 2023.

“Our offer is constantly evolving. One per cent with three years free servicing in addition to guaranteed future value is a pretty compelling proposition and a sure sign that Cupra isn’t about to become complacent,” said Cupra Australia director Ben Wilks.

“Australia is responding to our design and performance focussed range, the seamless way we sell it online and the equitable transparency of fixed pricing provided by the agency model.

“It’s fair to say that we’ll be doubling our deliveries by birthday number two.”

“At our launch 12 months ago, we targeted an eventual 7000 annual deliveries,” Mr Wilks added. “With these desirable models to come, CUPRA is firmly on track to achieve that target.”

Cupra has experienced a strong first year within the Australia market.

In the first half of this year, Cupra sold 949 examples of its Formentor, with the flagship VZx proving the best-seller in the line-up.

All up, Cupra sold 174 examples of its Born, 239 examples of its Ateca, and 224 examples of its Leon hatchback in the first half of 2023.

According to Cupra, since its release in April the Born has become the second best-selling vehicle within its line-up.

The brand also says one third of its customers are purchasing an all-electric Born or plug-in hybrid versions of the Leon and Formentor.

Cupra recently opened its 10th garage in Australia, located in Hobart. That has given it a presence in every state and territory bar the Northern Territory.

The automaker says it has plans to expand its dealer network in 2024 which will include service locations “in a number of major regional centres”.

Cupra has already opened sites around Australia including:

    • two sites in Victoria operated by the Zagame Group
    • two sites in Queensland operated by AP Eagers
    • two sites in New South Wales operated by the Alto Group
    • one site in Canberra operated by Lennock Motors
    • one site in South Australia operated by Solitaire
    • one site in Western Australia operated by AP Eagers

It also has pop-ups in Glen Waverley, Victoria and Castle Hill, New South Wales.
