Alfa Romeo is recalling 256 examples of its Giulia mid-sized sedan and Stelvio mid-sized SUV due to a manufacturing issue that could result in a fuel leak.

This recall affects Giulia and Stelvio models sold from 2020 to 2021.

“Due to a manufacturing issue, the fuel sensor housing may crack and cause a fuel leak,” the company says in its recall notice.

“If a fuel leak occurs, this may result in a loss of motive power while driving. Additionally, if the fuel comes into contact with an ignition source this may result in a vehicle fire.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact your local/preferred Alfa Romeo dealer to arrange a free fix.

If you have any further questions, you can contact Fiat Chrysler Australia on 1800 870 724.
