The Alfa Romeo Giulia is the brand's rear-wheel-drive sports sedan, aimed at drivers who want a premium mid-size car with a stronger dynamic focus than the usual German alternatives. The current Australian range is centred on a petrol-powered Veloce variant, using a 206kW and 400Nm turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. It is covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. The Giulia's strengths are its steering, balance and athletic road feel, wrapped in a distinctly Italian exterior and cabin design. The high-performance Quadrifoglio has ended production globally, leaving the Veloce as the core local offering, but the Giulia still gives Alfa Romeo a rare sedan with genuine driver appeal.
