Smart’s largest SUV yet has been priced for Australia, ahead of retail deliveries commencing in November 2026.
The 2027 Smart #5 range will open with the Pro+ at $58,900 before on-road costs, rising to $63,900 before on-roads for the mid-spec Premium+, and topping out at $73,900 plus ORCs for the dual-motor all-wheel drive Brabus flagship.
The new mid-size electric SUV slots in above the small #1 and #3 electric SUVs that relaunched the Smart brand in Australia late in 2024.

Smart vehicles are currently sold out of three showrooms, belonging to its distributor LSH Auto Australia. These are located in South Melbourne in Melbourne, Alexandria in Sydney, and Newstead in Brisbane.
The brand was established by Mercedes-Benz, but ownership is now split 50/50 between the German automaker and Chinese auto giant Geely. That means the Smart #5 has a range of in-house competitors in Australia, including the Polestar 4 and Zeekr 7X. It shares its platform with the latter.
