The Kia Tasman ute’s interior has been spied again in the lead up to the highly-anticipated model’s reveal.

In a video uploaded to YouTube by South Korean channel HealerTV – shared by The Korean Car Blog – images show the Tasman will adopt a unique interior design, with its rugged, blocky styling reflecting what we’ve seen of the dual-cab’s boxy exterior.

There appears to be utilitarian-style door handles, black headlining and A-pillar grab handles, while the front seats reflect those seen in other recent Kia models, with a mesh headrest, and half leather and cloth upholstery.

Previous images have shown a traditional T-bar gear shifter mounted in the centre console, alongside switches to change between the ute’s two- and four-wheel drive modes.

At the back, the second row carries on the same design, while the hard backs of the front seats provides extra storage space for rear passengers.

The Korean Car Blog has previously reported the Kia Tasman will be powered by the familiar 2.2-litre CRDi turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine which is also found in the Sorento.

While a hybrid option will reportedly follow, Kia’s electric ute is expected to be based on an entirely new platform.

The Kia Tasman has been benchmarked against the likes of the Ford Ranger Raptor – despite not being planned to be offered with a powertrain to rival the performance dual-cab – and is expected to have a braked towing capacity of 3500kg.

Expect the Kia Tasman to reach Australian showrooms in 2025.
