A special edition Subaru Crosstrek will reach Australian showrooms in April, building on the base-spec model with extra kit.

Priced at $36,990 before on-road costs, the 2.0X Special Edition is $2000 more than the base 2.0L.

However, it adds the following standard equipment:

    • 18-inch alloy wheels with gloss finish
    • Dark grey roof rails
    • Automatic self-levelling LED headlights
    • LED front fog lights
    • ‘Premium’ charcoal cloth upholstery
    • Heated front seats
    • Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter
    • Dual-function X-Mode

That’s in addition to features found in the base 2.0L, which include:

    • 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system
    • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
    • Wireless phone charger
    • Six-speaker sound system
    • Dual-zone climate control
    • Hill descent control

Both the 2.0L and 2.0X include a wide range of standard active safety and driver assist features, including:

    • Adaptive cruise control
    • Autonomous emergency braking (forward and reverse)
    • Blind-spot monitoring
    • Driver attention monitoring
    • Lane-keep assist
    • Lane centring assist
    • Rear cross-traffic alert

The 2.0X is also available with the entire range of Crosstrek paint colours.

Pricing for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek range is unchanged compared to 2023.

The new-generation small SUV went on sale here in April 2023, offering a choice of two powertrains.

A 2.0-litre Boxer flat-four powers most variants, including the new Special Edition. It produces 115kW of power and 196Nm of torque and is mated with a continuously variable transmission.

    A 2.0-litre e-Boxer hybrid four is available, with 110kW and 196Nm.

    All models feature all-wheel drive.
