2022 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition revealed

Porsche has added a new Platinum Edition to the Cayenne wagon and coupe line-ups.

The Cayenne Platinum Edition is available in Cayenne, Cayenne S, and Cayenne E-Hybrid guises, and features a range of special exterior finishes to distinguish it from the regular line-up. There’s extra standard equipment as well.

Outside, the Platinum Edition features satin Platinum trim in the air intake slats, Porsche lettering and Cayenne badging, and 21-inch RS Spyder Design alloy wheels. The window trims and exhaust pipes are finished in black.

Buyers can choose between solid white or black, metallic Jet Black, Carrara White, Mahogany, or Moonlight Blue, and flat Crayon grey.

Inside, the Platinum Edition features Crayon seatbelts, aluminium door sills with unique logos, and the textured aluminium interior package.

All Platinum Edition models come with a panoramic sunroof, the Bose surround sound system, ambient lighting, and 18-way adaptive sport seats with the Porsche crest embossed on their headrests.

Order books for the Cayenne Platinum edition are open, with deliveries set to commence in the middle of 2022.

The base Porsche Cayenne comes with a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine, producing 250kW of power and 450Nm of torque. Its 0-100km/h time is 6.2 seconds, reduced to 6.0 seconds in the Coupe.

The Cayenne E-Hybrid mates an electric motor and a 17.9kWh lithium-ion battery with the turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine, with combined outputs of 340kW of power and 700Nm of torque. 0-100km/h is achieved in 5.0 seconds (5.1 in the coupe).

The Cayenne S uses a twin-turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 engine with 324kW of power and 550Nm of torque and a 0-100km/h time of 5.2 seconds, or 5.0 seconds in the S Coupe.
