Jaguar Land Rover has recalled the 2021 E-Pace to fix a problem with the driver’s seatbelt.

“Due to a manufacturing issue, the vehicle-sensitive locking mechanism in the driver seat belt assembly may not lock as designed when the retractor body or vehicle is decelerated or tilted,” Jaguar Land Rover says in its recall.

“In the event of an accident or hard braking, the driver’s seat belt may not operate correctly, increasing the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”

“Owners will be notified and instructed to take their vehicle to an approved Land Rover dealer to have their vehicle inspected and repaired, free of charge.”

    • A total of 31 cars are included in the recall
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles are attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Jaguar Land Rover will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
