The potent Audi SQ2 small crossover now has an angrier appearance that matches up its potent performance.
Audi Australia has confirmed it’ll touch down on our relatively COVID-free shores in the middle of 2021. The rest of the facelifted Q2 range will also be arriving in Australia around mid-2021.
Visually, the SQ2 is distinguished from the current car by its new LED headlights and revised bumper design.

Other changes include improved cabin trim and new Audi connect services features, which allow you to monitor the status of your SQ2 and lock and unlock it remotely.
The SQ2’s drivetrain is unchanged with a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine making 221kW. Peak torque is rated at 400Nm, and is available between 2000 and 5300rpm.
With all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission standard, the SQ2 can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds.
Although academic in Australia, top speed is electronically limited to 250km/h.

Compared to regular Q2 models, the SQ2 sits on suspension that’s 20mm closer to the ground. The standard wheel and tyre combo consists of 18-inch alloys with 235/45 rubber.
Stopping ability comes courtesy of 340mm discs at the front, and 310mm units at the rear.
Options include red brake calipers, 19-inch rims with 235/40 tyres, and matrix LED headlights.
