Mahindra has revealed an optioned-up mHawk special edition version of its rugged Pik–up ute, priced from $39,990 drive-away.
Based on the range-topping Pik-up S10+, the dual-cab Black Edition mHawk 4×4 S10+ is loaded with Mahindra’s full accessory catalogue.
That means a black steel bull bar, black side steps, a black alloy sports bar, black fender flares, custom decals, a set of 17-inch wheels, and a black tub liner.

The accessories are fitted atop the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, a reverse camera, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and Android Auto standard on the S10+.
Also standard are rain-sensing wipers, rear air vents, automatic headlights, and one-touch lane change indicators.
Power in the mHawk comes from a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine making 103kW of power and 320Nm of torque, put to the road through a six-speed manual transmission and switchable four-wheel drive system.

With a $40,000 price sticker, the Black Edition mHawk is $7000 more expensive than the range-topping S10+.
It’s also priced on a par with the LDV T60 Trailrider and SsangYong Musso Ultimate, both of which offer automatic options and promise a more car-like drive.
As with the wider Pik-up range, the mHawk is backed by a five-year, 100,000km warranty.
