Ford Australia has issued a recall for 2787 examples of the MY19 Focus small car over concerns of a wiring fault that could lead to the engine stalling.
According to the Blue Oval, “the transmission stud may chafe on the engine wiring loom, the engine warning light may also illuminate”.
“Damage to the wiring loom may lead to reduced engine power and engine stall. This can increase the risk of injury and death of vehicle occupants and other road users in an accident,” Ford Australia adds in its recall notice.

Owners of the affected Focus vehicles will be contacted by Ford Australia, and requested to arrange the inspection and repair of their vehicle with their preferred dealer.
Find your nearest Ford dealer via the online look-up tool, or call 1800 503 672 for more information.
