Toyota is recalling 74 HiLux models due to an issue with their compliance label.

“The Australian Design Rule (ADR 61/02) requires a compliance label to be fitted to vehicles,” the company says in its recall notice.

“The compliance label was printed with an incorrect GVM Capacity of 2,850kg, instead of the correct GVM Capacity of 3,050kg, which should have been printed on the compliance label.”

The recall affects only 4×2 Hi-Rider models.

    • A total of 74 vehicles are affected
    • Vehicles were available for sale from 19 August 2019 to 14 January 2021

Toyota is contacting owners of affected vehicles.

If you own one, you’ll need to make an appointment at a Toyota dealership and the label will be replaced for free.
