Audi e-tron facelift previewed
The Audi e-tron is the discontinued electric SUV that introduced Audi's modern EV range in Australia. It is no longer on sale as a new car locally, having effectively been succeeded by the renamed and updated Q8 e-tron. The original e-tron combined a large SUV body with dual-motor all-wheel drive, strong refinement and the familiar cabin quality of Audi's combustion models. Its importance was in making electric motoring feel normal and premium from the driver's seat. Range and charging technology have since moved on, but the e-tron remains a significant model in Audi's transition to electric vehicles. It suits those looking at earlier premium EVs with comfort, space and a conventional luxury-SUV feel.
