The Skoda Fabia is a light hatchback with a more mature and spacious feel than many city cars. It is aimed at buyers who want compact dimensions, European road manners and good practicality without moving into a small SUV. The Fabia's strengths are its roomy cabin for the class, efficient turbocharged performance and a simple, well-organised interior. In Australia it appeals to first-car buyers, downsizers and commuters who still prefer a conventional hatchback. It is not the cheapest light car, but it feels more substantial than many rivals. The Monte Carlo variant adds a sportier look, while the core package remains sensible, efficient and easy to live with.
