France's Peugeot has confirmed it's bringing a plug-in hybrid wagon next year, in the form of the 508 Sportswagon PHEV.

The local Peugeot 508 range may grow to include a plug-in hybrid wagon, but the spicy Sport Engineered models remain off the table.

Peugeot's first plug-in hybrid 508 will be available in a single, fully-loaded Fastback variant, priced at $76,990 before on-road costs.

Peugeot will be offering no less than four plug-in hybrids by the end of 2021, with the 508 Hybrid sedan and wagon to join the 3008 PHEVs.
