Has your vehicle been serviced at least once since you took ownership?

    No.

Overall, are you satisfied with your ownership experience so far?

Yes. Purchased the BMW X5 PHEV as a demo with only 1500km. Very economical, I charge daily, and we have half a tank of petrol, and we purchased the car four months ago.

We haven't put petrol since the purchase, hence more economical than we expected. Drives beautifully, and the air suspension makes you feel like you're gliding on the road.

This reader’s experience with the 2025 BMW X5 M Sport

The BMW X5 PHEV was an upgrade from an Audi Q5 in terms of size and technology.

We currently get 0.7 to 1.1L/100km in hybrid mode, and the transition from electric to engine is undetectable.

We can get about 95 to 105km on a full charge.

The performance from the electric engine is great with 145kW and 400Nm. The engine combined has 360kW and 750Nm.

The BMW app is great, tells you charging status, petrol level, condition of the car, pre-conditioning such as heating, and also location.

Free servicing if you are a registered health professional with AHPRA.

Technology is fantastic, and voice control is very accurate compared to the Audi we had. We can respond to texts via voice dictation without taking our eyes off the road.

Car seats at the front and back are very comfortable, and the vegan leather is very soft and feels better than real leather.

Front seats are made for narrow and wider people and are extremely supportive. Tall people of six feet can easily sit behind seats, and a tiny middle hump so three people can easily sit in the back seats.

Centre console is large enough for wallets, keys and phones.

Phone Charger works well and fast in terms of charging.

Air conditioning vents on the side frame for the back seats, which enable better cooling than lower set ones in most cars.
