BYD-powered KGM Torres Hybrid will take on Toyota RAV4 in Australia
The new mid-size hybrid SUV has just launched in the UK and will arrive in Australia by the end of 2025 to fight the Toyota RAV4.

The new KGM Torres is a medium SUV available in Australia from $35,771 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the ELX variant and topping out at $55,188 for the 2WD variant.
There are 6 variants of the Torres available in Australia and this generation went on sale in late-2025.
The new 2023 Torres is offered with a 7 year, unlimited km warranty.
Engine options for the KGM Torres include electric motor (152kW/339Nm), 1.5 in-line 4-cylinder turbo hybrid (150kW) and 1.5 in-line 4-cylinder turbo (120kW/280Nm). All variants feature 6-speed automatic with manual mode transmission. Both front-wheel drive and 4x4 configurations are available.
