Toyota Australia is recalling approximately 245 examples of the Yaris Cross as the tyres do not correctly align with Australian Design Rules (ADR) certification requirements.

This recall affects Yaris Cross GR Sport hybrid variants produced between October 2022 and April 2023.

“Toyota Australia has identified the involved vehicles were equipped with tyres that did not correctly align with the Australian Design Rules (ADR) certification requirements for this model,” the company says in its recall notice.

“As a result of this tyre fitment, some performance characteristics may vary slightly from the certification data.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you can take it to a Toyota dealer. They will be able to correct the issue by replacing the tyres, free of charge.

Toyota claims the tyre replacement will take approximately two hours, however this depends on the dealer’s work schedule.
