Toyota Australia has confirmed it will offer a strictly limited run of GR86 10th Anniversary Editions, with prices starting from $46,700 plus on-road costs.

Arriving in local showrooms this month, the 2023 Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition marks 10 years of the 86 sports coupe, and will be limited to just 86 units in Australia.

Both six-speed manual and six-speed auto versions will be offered, and as with the regular GT and GTS variants each transmission is a no-cost option.

The 10th Anniversary Edition is based on the top-spec GTS trim, distinguishable by its unique Solar Orange exterior paint – a nod to the “hachi roku” original that debuted in 2011.

Orange not only adorns the exterior but also the cabin, with contrast stitching for the steering wheel, handbrake lever and boot, shift boot as well as the seats and door trims.

Further orange accents feature on the Ultrasuede and leather-accented seat upholstery, as well as a 10th Anniversary embroidery on the inside of the doors.

Rounding out the special-edition touches is the instrument panel moulding, which swaps out the standard silver for a “stealthier” black finish.

Features carried over from the GR86 GTS include:

    • 18-inch alloy wheels in matte black
    • LED headlights incl. adaptive beam
    • Ultrasuede interior trim
    • Heated front seats
    • Aluminium pedals, scuff plates
    • Illuminated sun visors
    • Blind-spot monitor
    • Rear cross-traffic alert
    • Leather steering wheel and shift knob
    • Dual-zone climate control
    • 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster
    • 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
    • DAB+ digital radio
    • Apple CarPlay, Android Auto
    • 6-speaker sound system
    • Keyless entry and start
    • Autonomous emergency braking (AT)
    • Lane-departure warning (AT)
    • 7 airbags
    • Tyre pressure monitoring
    • Cruise control

Like the core range, the GR86 10th Anniversary Edition is powered by a 2.4-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder ‘Boxer’ petrol engine developing 174kW (7000rpm) and 250Nm (3700rpm).

Drive is sent exclusively to the rear wheels, with the aforementioned six-speed manual and auto transmission options available. A Torsen limited-slip rear differential is also standard.

The limited-edition GR86 will officially be available to purchase from today (March 23), though Gazoo Racing Club members were offered priority access via early expressions of interest.
