Jaguar Land Rover Australia is recalling the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport for a seatbelt defect.

"Due to a manufacturing defect, the rear centre seatbelt anchor buckle may not meet specifications. As a result, the seatbelt may not properly latch or operate as intended," the company says in its recall notice.

"In the event of an accident or hard braking, if the seatbelt does not properly latch or operate as intended, it will increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants."
