RamTrucks is recalling 1231 examples of its 1500 as their engines could shut down.
“The Power-Train Control Module (PCM) software determines if the mixture is rich or lean and adjusts the amount of fuel entering the engine,” the company says in its recall notice.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the PCM software may not operate as intended and could result in the engine shut down causing a loss of motive power while driving.
“A loss of motive power while driving could increase the risk of an accident and injury to vehicle occupants or other road users.”

The company says owners of the affect vehicles can contact their nearest authorised Ram dealer to have the PCM software updated, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Ram Trucks Australia on 1300 681 792.
