Ram Trucks Australia distributor Ateco Automotive has issued three recall notices for an assortment of Ram pickup trucks that may have defective airbag inflators.
“If airbag inflator ruptures, compressed gas can rapidly escape from the inflator, propelling material, such as headliner or trim pieces into the vehicle,” the company warns in its recall notices.
“Material being propelled into an occupied vehicle may cause injury.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact an authorised Ram dealer to have the vehicle inspected and, if necessary, the airbag inflators replaced, free of charge.
