Ineos Automotive has revealed its first local special project build – a one-off dual-cab tough-truck that showcases a range of adventure-ready equipment in partnership with a range of Australian accessory suppliers.
The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster ‘Kaiju’ project is the ultimate overlander version of the British-engineered, French-built ute and it’s designed to demonstrate its infinite customisation possibilities.
Ineos claims to have selected the Kaiju name as it means giant creature or monster in Japanese, and Australians have a love affair with modified Japanese four-wheel drives. Read between the lines there.

Using an all-black Grenadier Quartermaster Cab Chassis Trialmaster Edition as its base, the Kaiju is fitted with off-road accessories from suppliers including Norweld, Rhino Rack, Brown Davis, REDARC, JMACX, GME, BF Goodrich, MAXTRAX, and STEDI.
A full list of the extra equipment is at the bottom of this story.
When asked how much a vehicle like this would cost, Ineos Automotive head of APAC region Justin Hocevar indicated it would be “north of $150k” and “close to $200k”.

For reference, a regular Grenadier Quartermaster Cab Chassis Trialmaster Edition starts from $115,000 before on-road costs, regardless of whether you opt for the inline-six turbo-petrol or turbo-diesel engine.
At this stage customers can’t purchase an Grenadier Quartermaster Cab Chassis like this direct from a dealer. However, the company will extend the vehicle’s warranty to cover “select aftermarket components” from official accessory partners when they are ordered through retailers.
The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster Kaiju will be at a range of events around Australia for promotional purposes over the next few months.
