Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled the 2018-2020 Sprinter to fix a problem with the rear-view camera.

“Due to a software issue, the rear-view camera may not display the rear-view camera image as intended,” the company says in its recall notice.

“If the rear-view camera display does not display the rear-view camera image when reversing the vehicle, it could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to any persons located behind the vehicle.”

    • A total of 2123 vehicles are included in the recall
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Mercedes-Benz says owners of the affected vehicles should contact their preferred dealer to organise a free fix.
