Mercedes-Benz has recalled its electric EQS flagship to fix a problem with the front towing point.

“The connection depth of the front towing point may not meet manufacturing specifications. As a result, the front tow point connection could detach from the vehicle during frontal towing,” Mercedes-Benz says in its recall notice.

“If the front tow point detaches from the vehicle during use, it will increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, bystanders and other road users.”

    • A total of 30 vehicles are included in the recall
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Mercedes-Benz will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
