We knew it was coming, we just didn’t know when… but Mercedes-Benz has revealed a first teaser for the smaller G-Class model coming to accompany the legendary G-Wagen.
Described by Mercedes-Benz boss Ola Kallenius as the Little G, the new four-wheel drive will have a boxy profile and tailgate-mounted spare wheel in keeping with its bigger brother.
Beyond the silhouette and loose name, we know very little about the new member of the G-Wagen family.

It’ll likely be less expensive than the current model, and could take on expensive versions of the Jeep Wrangler or cheaper versions of the Land Rover Defender.
We’re expecting both electric and internal-combustion options to feature, the former borrowing from the bigger EQG.
Mercedes-Benz is far from alone in trying to leverage its famous names on a range of new cars.
Over at Ford, the Bronco and Mustang names feature more prominently than the brand name on a range of new models, while JLR is putting the Range Rover and Defender names front and centre in its brand overhaul.
