If you have an old car that no longer runs, you can sell it for scrap or donate it to a TAFE. You can also, apparently, turn it into a giant vessel for cooking meat!

That’s what the owner of this 1985-88 Cadillac Sedan de Ville in Ashland City, Tennessee did, and now they’ve put it up for sale for the princely sum of US$3000 (A$4500).

While the seats and dashboard have been removed and replaced with two mesh racks, we’re not sure just how extensively the interior has been gutted – we hope there isn’t any leftover headliner.

According to the signs on the windows, this old Caddy has been used to cook ham, sausages, brisket, turkey and ribs. The owner has even helpfully demonstrated how many burger patties will fit on the top rack.

Naturally, it can’t be driven on its own power. The front wheels have been removed and it’s attached to a trailer hitch.

With a mangled grille and bonnet, missing wheel covers, and what looks like a spray can paint job, this Sedan de Ville is a far cry from how it looked in the showroom.

Would you eat something cooked in this Cadillac? Let us know in the comments!
