Ford has recalled 186 examples of its 2021 Escape due to a manufacturing defect with the panoramic roof.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, vehicles fitted with a panoramic roof may have poor adhesion of the fixed glass panel and front roof panel to the roof frame,” the company says in its recall notice.

“As a result, the panoramic roof panel and or front panel may detach from the vehicle.

“If the fixed glass panel and/or front panel either partially or fully detaches from the vehicle there is an increased risk of injury or death to road users.”
