Ford has recalled 186 examples of its 2021 Escape due to a manufacturing defect with the panoramic roof.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, vehicles fitted with a panoramic roof may have poor adhesion of the fixed glass panel and front roof panel to the roof frame,” the company says in its recall notice.
“As a result, the panoramic roof panel and or front panel may detach from the vehicle.
“If the fixed glass panel and/or front panel either partially or fully detaches from the vehicle there is an increased risk of injury or death to road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you can contact your preferred Ford dealership to have the work carried out free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Ford on 13 36 73.
