Fiat Chrysler has recalled the 2007-2012 Dodge Nitro and the 2008-2010 Chrysler Grand Voyager to fix a problem with a loose airbag emblem.

According to the company, the airbag emblem on the driver’s airbag cover could come loose or detach. If the car is involved in an accident and the airbag fires, the emblem could become a projectile in the cabin.

There’s a risk the emblem could injure vehicle occupants if it’s shot into the cabin.

    • A total of 5464 vehicles are included in the recall
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Fiat Chrysler will contact owners of the affected cars and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
