The enhanced 2026 Zeekr X small electric SUV range has been priced for Australia, with the Chinese brand knocking thousands of dollars off the sticker prices of both variants.

For MY26, the Zeekr X will open from $48,900 drive-away for the single-motor rear-wheel drive version (previously $49,900 before on-road costs), with the dual-motor all-wheel drive flagship now priced at $57,900 drive-away (previously $62,900 plus on-roads).

The updated lineup is due to hit Australian showrooms in May, and to sweeten the deal Zeekr is promoting pre-order and trade-in offers available until May 31.

The 2026 Zeekr X RWD now gets the brand's new 'Golden Battery' technology, featuring a new 61kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and Cell-to-Pack (CFP) architecture from the larger 7X. The new battery is claimed to have been "further optimised for faster charging, enhanced safety and improved thermal stability".

It means the base grade can now charge at a rate of up to 230kW using a DC fast-charger (up from 150kW) and the battery can be charged from 10-80 per cent in around 18 minutes, a reduction of around 12 minutes. The AWD's nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) lithium-ion battery retains its 150kW DC charging cap.

AC charging has also been improved for both variants, with the RWD now able to take 11kW (up from 7.2kW) and the AWD doubling its previous cap to 22kW (from 11kW).

WLTP range for the MY26 Zeekr X RWD is rated at 405km, while the AWD quotes 415km. For reference, the pre-update versions had ADR (NEDC) claims of 540km and 470km, respectively.
