2026 Mazda CX-80 prices: Diesels, PHEVs more affordable than before

Diesel-powered Mazda CX-80s are cheaper than before, now priced identically to petrols, while PHEVs are now just $5000 more.

The Mazda CX-80, like its fellow Large Architecture-based SUVs, has received some pricing adjustments.

Diesel-powered examples of the three-row SUV are now priced identically to petrol-powered versions, after previously commanding a $2000 premium.

Most petrol-powered CX-80s (badged G40e) have received a $400 price increase, while most diesels (badged D50e) are $1600 cheaper than before.

Plug-in hybrid (P50e) versions of the CX-80 are now priced $5000 higher than petrol and diesel variants, with most PHEV variants $7650 cheaper than before.

The exception to the rule is the top-spec Azami SP trim, with its G40e version $32 pricier, the D50e $2568 cheaper and the P50e $8687 cheaper when comparing list prices with LCT included. This is due to the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) having previously been applicable.

The entry-level Pure trim is also now available with the 'D50e' 3.3-litre inline-six mild-hybrid turbo-diesel, having previously been exclusively offered with the 'G40e' 3.3-litre inline-six mild-hybrid turbo-petrol.

The two Pures now open the CX-80 range at $56,100 before on-road costs, with the petrol G40e Pure $400 more expensive than before. Apart from these pricing adjustments and the introduction of a new D50e Pure, there are no other changes to the CX-80.

The CX-80 is a longer, three-row version of the CX-60, sharing the same body width. The CX-60 and CX-80 were developed with the European market in mind, while the wider CX-70 and CX-90 on the same platform were developed primarily for North America.

Australia is the only global market that gets all four of the Large Architecture SUVs. The first of these vehicles to Down Under here was the CX-60, back in 2023.

In 2024, Mazda Australia said it expected to sell 6600 CX-60s, 720 CX-70s, 7800 CX-80s, and 1200 CX-90s each year. Last year, it managed to shift 5410 CX-60s, 379 CX-70s, 3851 CX-80s and 715 CX-90s.
