Toyota Australia has released information on the next-generation, hybrid-only Camry sedan ahead of its local launch later this year.
The next-generation Toyota Camry is due in Australia in the second half of 2024, and will be offered in three trim levels: Ascent, Ascent Sport and SL.
The sporty-looking SX has been dropped, and as previously confirmed there’s no price-leader petrol-only Ascent model.
Pricing for the 2025 range has yet to be announced.

All models will use Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system, incorporating a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.
It’s likely we’ll continue to only get the front-wheel drive Camry Hybrid here, which has a total system output of 168kW; all-wheel drive will be offered in some markets, with slightly more power at 173kW.
All models will come standard with the following safety equipment:
Features like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert were previously excluded from the base Ascent.
