The Mazda MX-5 lineup has been tweaked slightly for 2025, with a limited-run 35th Anniversary joining the range and the most affordable RF variant getting the axe.
Mazda revealed the 35th Anniversary edition in October, and just 50 examples of the MX-5 GT-based convertible are coming to Australia from January 2025, each priced from $52,020 before on-road costs.
It’s finished in a unique Artisan Red paint colour, and features bespoke wheels, a beige soft-top, beige carpet and floor mats, plus a tan Nappa leather interior.

Elsewhere in the lineup, the base RF has been axed for 2025, meaning there’s no longer a retractable hardtop MX-5 available for less than $50,000.
Mazda Australia has also increased prices across the range, with the entry-level MX-5 Roadster now starting from $43,020 before on-road costs.
This is a $1500 increase on its price earlier this year, and up $8530 on 2.0-litre versions of the ND when it arrived in Australia back in 2015.
Changes for the base variant include the debut of black cloth and suede upholstery, soft-touch ‘Maztex’ on the centre console and armrests, and body-coloured inner door trim.
All other variants are up by $1080, except the MX-5 RF GT Black Roof, which has increased by $1060. There are no running changes beyond what was introduced earlier this year alongside the arrival of Mazda Connected Services.
