Interested in a Honda Civic?

With the hybrid on sale from December 1 and Type R deliveries beginning in February, the 11th-generation Honda Civic range will soon be complete.

    The hatch-only line-up opens at $47,200 drive-away for the VTi-LX, rising to $55,000 drive-away for the e:HEV LX hybrid and $72,600 drive-away for the Type R.

Notably, the Type R only has seating for four, while the others seat five.

While it’s the first time since 2015 that Honda has offered a hybrid Civic in Australia, the 11th-generation range is considerably more pared-back than its predecessor.

The sedan body style is no longer available locally, while the range opens above where most mainstream rivals like the Kia Cerato and Toyota Corolla top out. Gone are any sub-$40,000 variants, which represented the bulk of the 10th-generation range.

All variants are now sourced from Japan, and Honda is positioning the Civic as a lower-volume, more premium model.
