Interested in a Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class?

The Mercedes-Benz GLE has entered 2022 unchanged, though some option packages are unavailable.

While Mercedes-Benz notes its large SUV hasn’t lost any standard equipment due to semiconductor chip shortages, the optional Energising Package Plus and Innovation Package have been unavailable on GLEs produced since September 2021.

The Energising Package Plus includes massaging front seats, while the Innovation Package includes the MBUX Interior Assistant. It’s unclear when these packages will return to the option list.

Spied prototypes of a facelifted GLE have been spied testing of late, pointing to a potential reveal later this year.

It appears to be a modest mid-life update with only detail changes inside and out, though it could receive an updated infotainment system.

In 2021, Mercedes-Benz sold 3591 GLE wagons and 1122 examples of the GLE Coupe. The GLE wagon alone was Australia’s best-selling large luxury SUV, ahead of the BMW X5 (3173), while the GLE Coupe outsold the BMW X6 (581).
