Prices for the 2022 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe are up incrementally across the board for 2022.

The price has slowly risen since the small four-door arrived here on Australian shores in 2019.

Prices now start from $56,900 before on-road costs for the 218i and extend to $79,900 before on-road costs for the M235i xDrive.

UPDATE, 22/08/2022 – BMW Australia has increased the before on-road asking price of the 2 Series Gran Coupe range by $3000 as part of a wider range price hike. Pricing now starts at $56,900 before on-road costs for the 218i.

“BMW constantly reviews its pricing structure throughout the year, taking into consideration a number of different factors,” said a BMW Australia spokesperson.

“However, we always aim to ensure our products remain appropriately positioned and represent a competitive pricing proposition in the market for our customers.”

This price increase follows a $1000 price increase in March 2022.

The front/all-wheel drive 2 Series Gran Coupe is unrelated to either the outgoing or redesigned 2 Series Coupe, which use rear-wheel drive platforms.

In 2021, BMW sold 2072 2 Series Gran Coupes according to VFACTS. It was outsold by its 1 Series sibling (2741) and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class range (3793).
