The 2022 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has received a slight price increase, with pricing now starting at $53,900 before on-road costs.

Published

Prices for the 2022 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe are up incrementally across the board for 2022.

The price has slowly risen since the small four-door arrived here on Australian shores in 2019.

Prices now start from $53,900 before on-road costs for the 218i and extend to $76,900 before on-road costs for the M235i xDrive.

UPDATE, 11/03/2022 – BMW Australia has revealed a limited edition 218i Sport that’s priced at $53,900 drive-away. Pricing is also up across the rest of the range by $1000.

There are also a number of features and option packages that are temporarily unavailable due to semiconductor and production restrictions.

“The bottleneck in the supply of semiconductor components has impacted availability of individual vehicle equipment options for certain models,” said a BMW Australia spokesperson.

“We are working closely with our dealer partners to provide alternative solutions for our customers to minimise waiting times. This process is supported by the high degree of customisation of our vehicles.”

The front/all-wheel drive 2 Series Gran Coupe is unrelated to either the outgoing or redesigned 2 Series Coupe, which use rear-wheel drive platforms.

In 2021, BMW sold 2072 2 Series Gran Coupes according to VFACTS. It was outsold by its 1 Series sibling (2741) and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class range (3793).
